Ahead of the match at Upton Park, we take a look at how the sides' midfielders Mark Noble and Leroy Fer compare.

West Ham will fancy their chances against newly-promoted strugglers QPR in a clash between two of the Premier League’s most experienced managers. Sam Allardyce’s team have struggled for consistency so far in this campaign, home defeats to Tottenham and Southampton taking the gloss of their glorious 3-1 victory over Liverpool.

At least with signings such as Enner Valencia and Mauro Zárate, and a series of high scoring games, his side have gone some way towards escaping the ‘long ball’ tag that has loomed large over Allardyce’s teams in the past.
