Memphis Depay latest: Manchester United signing turns 'focus' on the season ahead
£25m arrival getting set for pre-season
Memphis Depay has urged himself to "focus" as he prepares to hook up with Manchester United for the first time since his £25m signing from PSV Eindhovn.
The Netherlands international agreed a move to Old Trafford before the end of last season's campaign, meaning a lengthy wait to meet his new team-mates. The 21-year-old has been holidaying in Los Angeles but the time for relaxing is over.
Writing alongside a selfie, Depay wrote: "Had an amazing holiday. Now focus, and off to Manchester."
Manchester United are due to meet up tomorrow for pre-season training before heading on a pre-season tour of the United States.
Manager Louis van Gaal has promised the younger players in the squad will get their chance.
"You always get chances, especially in pre-season, and if you grab that chance then maybe you have the possibility to join our first-team squad next season," said the Dutchman.
Their first game, and Depay's potential debut, is against Club America in Seattle on Friday 17 July.
