Norwich City defender Ryan Bennett has responded to Piers Morgan's criticism of him for appearing to shove Alexis Sanchez in a cameraman during Arsenal's 1-1 draw with the Canaries on Sunday (watch video of the incident below).

Renowned Gunners' supporter Morgan said he had downgraded Martin to a "two-thirds wit" for his apology.

Martin later cleared it up that he was trying to stop Sanchez, not push him.

Sanchez was later forced off with a hamstring injury in the 59th minute. Arsenal manager Wenger defended his decision to start Sanchez in the draw after the Chilean and two other players picked up injuries.

"I would have rested him but he said he was fine to play," the Frenchman added.

"Santi Cazorla finished on one leg and has a knee problem, Laurent Koscielny has a hip problem and Sanchez a thigh problem.

"He says it is a kick on his hamstring, I believe that is not really the reality. I fear it is not the reality."
