Bolton manager Owen Coyle has called for a change of luck after Gary Cahill’s suspension was overturned.

Wanderers sit in the Premier League relegation zone but will now have their defender back for Saturday's game against Aston Villa at the Reebok Stadium.

It was widely expected that Cahill's controversial red card against Tottenham last weekend wouldn't be upheld.

Stuart Attwell, who produced the red card, will be fourth official for Norwich City's game against Newcastle United.

"You can never be 100 per cent about anything, but we were confident that this would be the outcome," said Coyle.

"Hopefully, that's the end of this run of bad luck we've been on, with suspensions and everything else."

Following their run of bad fortune, Coyle says it's now time the club started picking up points.

"These things are sent to test us. We've played huge chunks of three of the last five games with 10 men and that has been difficult," he said.

"But, as far as I'm concerned, the time for talking has got to stop. We have to start picking up points.

"That starts on Saturday against Aston Villa, heading into a run of games where I think we can start moving up the table and out of a position we don't want to be in."
