Petr Cech is expected to make his eagerly anticipated Arsenal debut this weekend when the Gunners take on Everton in Singapore.

Arsenal's Asian fans were disappointed not to see the former Chelsea player make his first appearance for his new club earlier this week in the 4-0 win over a Singapore Select XI. The closest they came was the appearance of Fazrul Nawaz for Arsenal's opponents, who came off the bench wearing a skull-cap.

That victory, which saw Chuba Akpom score a hat-trick, has put Arsenal into the final of the Barclays Asia Trophy in which Cech is expected to play. It means he will make his first appearance for the north London club against Premier League rivals Everton, who reached the final after beating Stoke City on penalties.

Wenger said after the match against the Singapore Select XI: "Today I left nine players out, they will be involved on Saturday. I will rotate a bit because the week after we play two games again."

The match against Everton is at the Singapore National Stadium this Saturday and will kick-off at 1.30pm BST.

The match will be the final game of Arsenal's pre-season tour before the squad returns to London to compete in the Emirates Cup. They play Lyon on Saturday 25 July and Wolfsburg the following day. It is expected that Cech will feature in at least one of those games and with it make his first appearance at the Emirates Stadium as an Arsenal player.
