After the thrilling breakthrough of Callum Hudson-Odoi captured the potential and impatience of the Premier League‘s young talent on the fringes, The Independent takes a look at a player from every club who are yet to make a top-flight appearance in their fledgeling careers thus far.

The likes of Chelsea‘s Reece James is all but guaranteed to get his chance to challenge club captain Cesar Azpilicueta, after earning a place in the Championship team of the season on loan at Wigan last season.

Emile Smith Rowe at Arsenal is also virtually assured of a top-tier introduction - with teammates Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock already having started this season - if the winger isn't to embark on another loan move after a string of Europa League and domestic cup appearances, while Liverpool and Manchester City‘s burgeoning academies continue to produce more world-class prospects.

However, there are also a number of flourishing talents at the likes of Norwich, Newcastle and West Ham primed to inherit their own spotlight this season.
