Radamel Falcao was given a game by Manchester United on Tuesday, but rather than starting alongside the likes of Wayne Rooney and Angel Di Maria he was among the rather less illustrious company of the Under-21s.
The Colombian striker was an unused substitute for the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal on Monday and has been struggling to get game time of late, despite being on wages of £300,000-a-week.
Since joining on loan from Monaco for the season he's managed to score just four goals and last played for the Red Devils last month.
So to give him a run out he was picked to start the Under-21 Division One match against Tottenham, however he failed to score yet again as the sides played out a 1-1 draw.
When he was taken off after 72 minutes, cheers could reportedly be heard inside the near empty Old Trafford.
Falcao wasn't the only familiar name in the starting XI amongst lesser known players such as Sean Goss and Liam Grimshaw.
Victor Valdes, the former Barcelona goalkeeper who was signed as a free agent in January was in goal whilst right-back Rafael Da Silva also featured.
