Samir Nasri has admitted he can be "arrogant" and "a jerk".
The Manchester City midfielder offered the highly honest assessment of his character in an interview with French publication L'Equipe 21 .
The former Arsenal player, who recently returned from injury and was on target against Stoke City last night, has a reputation for causing controversy.
Many Arsenal fans retain a grudge over the manner of his transfer to Manchester City whilst the 27-year-old retired from international duty soon after he was left out of France's World Cup squad - a decision that was understood to relate to a breakdown in his relationship with national coach Didier Dechamp.
"From time to time, I’m a jerk. Sometimes it is better to buckle but it is something I can’t do," he told L'Equipe 21.

Following his third-round victory over David Nalbandian in the US Open, the Spaniard stopped answering questions because of severe cramp in his right leg. Lying back in his chair and grimacing with the pain some two hours after the end of his match, the Spaniard then slid to the floor before asking for help. The room was cleared before a trainer arrived to treat Nadal with ice and fluids. Nadal was back on his feet ten minutes after his collapse, and re-assembled the media so that his post-match press conference could be completed. 'It was just a normal cramp that could have happened anywhere, but it happened in the press room. Anywhere else, nobody would have noticed,' he explained.

Woods had been in hiding for two months following a car crash that set off a string of lurid allegations. His 14-minute, carefully scripted speech was attended by a select group of friends and hand-picked media and filmed by a single camera. During the humble address, Woods managed to apologise to his fans, fellow golfers, wife Elin, his children, family, sponsors and parents. 'For all that I have done, I am so sorry,' said the world's most famous golfer.

Unfurling a piece of paper to make his statement, Beckham struggled to get his words out as he described the hurt the players were feeling at being knocked out of the tournament. 'I have lived the dream, I'm extremely proud to have worn the armband,' he said. Then, as Beckham walked away, the normally baying press broke out in an impromptu round of applause.

During a routine pre-match chat with the media, Benitez entered the room and proceeded to unfurl a piece of paper. Bringing an end to his five year reign, which had included regaining the Ashes after an 18-year wait, Vaughan was visibly upset. 'I gave it all I could give. I wish I could have had one more stab at Australia but I've had five unbelievable years, played in some exciting games and unbelievable series.' said the tearful batsman, who may have been even more upset had he known he would go on to star in Strictly Come Dancing.

But when European Footballer of the Year Kevin Keegan strolled out - the room was left stunned. When asked if her confidence was low she stood up, disappeared from view, and asked if the interview could be restarted. She decided to carry on and said: 'You're asking a question and then you're saying my confidence is low so you're answering it. Who are you to say my confidence is low?' In the brief but tense exchange that followed, Kournikova insisted that her off-court commitments were not affecting her form. 'No, I don't think it detracts from my tennis,' she said.

This guy had won the Champions League, he had celebrated ecstatically on the Old Trafford touchline when his team shocked Manchester United and the word was that he was something of a character.
