San Jose Earthquakes' fans troll Manchester United supporters with 'we support our local club' banner

The United States loves football so much these days that they've even got banners that troll Manchester United fans.
United’s pre-season tour of the US saw Louis van Gaal’s side come up against MLS franchise San Jose Earthquakes in the second of a four-match schedule, with the Premier League side running out 3-1 winners.
But while there was plenty to enjoy on the pitch in the form of Memphis Depay’s first goal for the club and young prospect Andreas Pereira getting himself on the scoresheet, the best entertainment came from the home fans in the Avaya Stadium.
With ‘soccer’ taking off across the Atlantic enough to attract the likes of Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard to the MLS, it seems that ‘banter’ has finally caught on too.
A banner displayed high in the stands read: “Proudly supporting our local Quakes against fake, glory-hunting ‘fans’.”
With America now laughing at United fans too, it appears there isn’t many places a supporter can now visit without being jibed for their club loyalties.
