Filip Djuricic and Eljero Elia were drafted in by Ronald Koeman as Southampton looked to get back to winning ways against Crystal Palace.
The on-loan duo replaced Florin Gardos and Dusan Tadic in the starting line-up at St Mary's, where Toby Alderweireld was on the bench following a hamstring problem.
Alan Pardew made three changes against his former club, with Dwight Gayle, James McArthur and Joe Ledley coming in for Palace.
