Kolo Toure's Liverpool team-mates were clearly delighted to have seen the defender awarded a new contract.

A video uploaded to Twitter shows the team in Dubai, apparently returning from a night out, chanting the popular Kolo/Yaya chant. It comes after the club announced that Toure had signed an extension to his contract.

Nearly the entire squad were filmed dancing around and singing the song at a hotel in the United Arab Emirates, with Steven Gerrard leading the chant in what will be one of his final acts as captain before departing for LA Galaxy.

Those involved included contract rebel Raheem Sterling, plus Martin Skrtel, Emre Can, Jordan Henderson, Lazer Markovic, Rickie Lambert, Brad Jones, Joe Allen and Mohamed Sakho.

The lively scenes, filmed during Liverpool's three-day trip tot Middle East to mark Gerrard's departure, contrast greatly with Sunday when the Reds suffered a 6-1 defeat to Stoke City on the final day of the season.
