Tottenham news: Mauricio Pochettino has '£10m buy-out clause' amid Manchester United and Chelsea interest

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly has a £10m buy-out clause in his contract as the title-chasing club continue efforts to fight off interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Argentinian boss has inspired Spurs to mount their first credible Premier League title challenge in years this season, promoting their crisis-hit rivals to consider making a move to secure his services.

Antonio Conte is expected to be announced as José Mourinho’s full-time successor when interim manager Guus Hiddink vacates the post in May while United continue to consider what life may look like without beleaguered boss Louis van Gaal.

It is reported by The Sun that Tottenham are increasingly confident of keeping Pochettino at White Hart Lane with the presence of a £10m clause being enough to dissuade any potiential suitors from approaching them about the 44-year-old former Southampton head coach.

The north London outfit remain five points behind leaders Leicester City with seven matches to play despite having a far superior goal difference in one of the most intriguing title races of recent times.

Spurs look certain to secure Champions League qualification, however, and are likely to be attractive to a host of previously unavailable transfer targets this summer.

Meanwhile, Pochettino’s side are set to participate in the Australia branch of the International Champions Cup in July with matches against Juventus and Atlético Madrid already pencilled into their pre-season schedule.

Leicester will face European giants Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Celtic.

At a press conference in New York on Tuesday afternoon it was confirmed that Chelsea, Liverpool, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Internazionale, Manchester City and Real Madrid will also participate in the lucrative exhibition competition.
