Tottenham 'in talks' over £30m Nike kit deal

Spurs' current Under Armour deal runs until the end of next season

Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with American sportswear giant Nike over a mammoth new kit deal, according to reports.

Spurs currently have a deal with rival American firm Under Armour, signed in 2011, worth £10million-a-year for five years.

According to the Daily Mail, Spurs are in 'deep discussions' with Nike about a deal that would be worth at least £30m-a-season.

Nike currently do not supply a London club in the Premier League and only supply Manchester City in the top flight, their biggest London presence is in the Championship with Queens Park Rangers and Charlton Athletic.

In recent years the firm have lost Manchester United to Adidas (£75m annually) and Arsenal to Puma (£30m annually), while London rivals Chelsea are also paid £30m annually by rivals Adidas.

Spurs are likely to want in excess of the Arsenal and Chelsea deals, which were signed in 2014 and 2013, especially with the club likely heading for the Champions League next season.
