Yaya Toure has urged Manchester City to offer him a new deal next week, according to his agent Dimitry Seluk.

The Ivorian, 32, wants to stay but with lucrative offers on the table from abroad, Toure could be tempted to leave the Etihad in the summer.

Toure has a year left on his current deal but Seluk has also promised to donate £1million-a-year to the Manchester hosptal that treated his brother.

"In the next week we must find a solution about whether Yaya will prolong his contract with City or he will go to another club," Seluk said in an interview The Sun.

The midfielder has not been his usual dominant self this season, scoring just six Premier League goals as Manuel Pellegrini's side have struggled to challenge at the top of the table.

Toure has a year left on his £220,000-a-week deal, but Seluk insisted his client is not motivated by money - if he was he would have moved to China in January where a club offered to "double what he earns at City".

Seluk said: "But Yaya prefers to stay at City. He likes the fans and the town. His heart is in Manchester where his brother Ibrahim died of cancer in a Manchester hospital.

"Yaya said if he signs a new contract he will give £1m from his salary every year to the hospital where his brother was treated to help other cancer patients and the doctors and nurses and staff.

"People say Yaya and me only think about money. Last year we donated a lot of money, Yaya £100,000 and myself £50,000, to Nepal after the earthquake there for those who lost their homes and belongings.

"Whenever we sign a contract we always put money away for charity."
