Khizanishvili claims move to Rangers
The Dundee defender Zurab Khizanishvili says he is close to a move to Rangers. The Georgian claims his agent has lined up the move, while an unnamed English club are also interested in the 21-year-old's signature.
"It is finally decided that I am leaving Dundee after the season," he said. "I have several choices. My agent wants me at Rangers. Several days ago my manager told me that one of the clubs in the English Premiership clubs is interested in me. But of course I would prefer to play for Rangers, it's a big club with big ambitions."
Khizanishvili was rumoured to be attracting interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham last year during his time at Lokomotiv Tbilisi before Dundee eventually secured his signature for £100,000.
The Blackburn Rovers manager, Graeme Souness, is close to signing the Rangers captain, Lorenzo Amoruso, for £1.5m. Souness has had talks with David Murray, Rangers' chairman, and thinks a price can be agreed at the end of the season.
