Arsene Wenger has revealed that he will not be signing a new striker this summer.
The Arsenal boss said that he wants to strengthen his squad with another defender and a goalkeeper before the start of the new season but a new centre-forward is not on his wish list.
There had been on-going speculation about the Gunners bringing AC Milan maverick Mario Balotelli to the Emirates, as well as several other options being rumoured.
But now, Arsenal fans can forget their club bringing in another front man.
Wenger said: "Up front we don’t need any more, maybe I will still bring in one centre-back. I will bring in a goalkeeper for sure and we are still out there to strengthen our squad.
"It depends whether our midfielders get through now until the start of the season without injuries."

Arsenal are said to be willing to pay his release clause, which is understood to be £6.5m.

This news from Wenger may come has a surprise to many in North London.
Olivier Giroud played 51 games in total last season and faded towards the end of the campaign under his intense workload as a solitary striker.
Alexis Sanchez has been signed from Barcelona for £35million and Theo Walcott is nearing match fitness to ease some attacking worries.
Wenger also said: "You do the deals when it’s possible, this time we could do it early and I am very happy with what I have done until now. It’s easier to prepare, but we are not the only club who have done business.
"Some other clubs have also done business – Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have bought great players and the competition should be interesting again next season."
