Arsenal are linked with Barcelona youth product Sergi Samper, according to reports in Spain.
The 20-year-old holding midfielder has yet to make his La Liga debut but has been involved in Luis Enrique's first-team squad for quite a while.
Spanish newspaper Diario Sport state that Arsenal would be willing to pay €6million (£4.4m) for the youth product, although his buy-out clause is €12m (£8.85m).
Samper started in the 1-1 Champions League draw with Bayer Leverkusen on 9 December, came on as a substitute against Roma in November and has also made a couple of appearances in the Copa Del Rey and the Club World Cup this season.
Samper made his debut for the Catalan club in the Champions League in September 2014.
He is a regular for the Barcelona B side and has started 14 matches in the Spanish third tier this season. Samper has also been capped twice at Spain Under-21 level and has represented the nation at every level from U16.
It is not clear from the report if Barcelona would be willing to sell.
Arsenal have been linked with a number of defensive midfielders after Francis Coquelin was injured in November.
The report also states that Arsenal rivals Tottenham Hotspur are linked with another Barcelona youngster, Sandro.
