With Arsenal’s tantalising twosome set to cause an upset at the Emirates, Arsène Wenger will have to tread very carefully during the next transfer window.

That is, if he treads at all. According to the Daily Telegraph, Wenger is not planning to spend any money at all during the January sales. Surprise surprise.

Meanwhile, following their fine run of form, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have demanded a vast pay rise if they are going to continue their careers with the Gunners, according to the Evening Standard.

Maybe Carlos Bacca could ease the burden on Wenger's talismanic pair? In a bid to strengthen their strike force, he is reported to be planning a £20million bid for the Milan striker by Tuttosport.

The 30 year old Colombian made 13 appearances for his club so far this campaign, with six goals and two assists.

Declan Rice, a teenage prospect from The Hammers, has also been said to have caught the watchful eye of Wenger, according to The Sun.

The centre-back has impressed during his spell as skipper for the West Ham Under-23’s this season.

With Julian Draxler expressing his desire to leave Wolfsburg next month, it looks increasingly likely that the next stop for the 23-year-old could be the Emirates.
