Bacary Sagna has agreed terms with Manchester City, according to French newspaper L'Equipe, with an announcement of the transfer expected imminietly.

The French right-back is out of contract at Arsenal next month after seven years at the club.

L'Equipe has reported that the deal was agreed on Monday, the day after the Gunners' victory parade for their FA Cup victory over Hull City.

Sagna has been an integral part of Arsene Wenger's team since he joined from Auxerre, and while the Gunners have made him repeated offers this season, they have never been close to agreeing the longer deal that the 31-year-old wanted. He has reportedly signed a three-year deal at City, and had been only offered a two-year extension to stay at the Emirates Stadium.

He will now join up with former Arsenal team-mates Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri at the Etihad Stadium, and will compete with Pablo Zabaleta for the right-back berth for Manuel Pellegrini's Premier League champions.

Sagna was also coveted by PSG, Monaco and Internazionale, but will now stay in England.
