Carew hopeful of prolonging stay
John Carew has not ruled moving to Stoke on a permanent basis, after completing a loan move from Aston Villa yesterday.
The 31-year-old, who could make his debut at Fulham today, is out of contract at Villa Park in the summer and believes a successful four months at the Britannia Stadium could result in him staying on.
"If I'm happy and the club is happy, if I enjoy it and it goes well enough, then we can decide in the summer," Carew said. "The important thing is to make the most of this opportunity. Tony Pulis has shown great confidence in getting me here so I want to repay that."
