Petr Cech will tell Chelsea officials today that he would like to join Arsenal, according to reports.

Sky Sports have reported this morning that Cech will tell Chelsea he wants to leave the club in a meeting today, with fellow Premier League side Arsenal his favoured destination.

French champions PSG are also interested in the 33-year-old Czech goalkeeper, but Cech's preference is to stay in London, where his family are settled.

Speaking last week, Cech said: “I will decide based on what for me and my family was the best and it does not matter whether it is England, Germany, France and Spain,” he said.

“Next week we will have a meeting with Chelsea when the situation is clearer and all the cards are on the table. If I move, it brings difficulties. I must change everything, looking for housing, a school for children and so on.”

Cech, who spent the majority of last season playing second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois, has one year remaining on his contract, with the Blues hoping to get at least £11m for his services.
