Chelsea winger Pedro is reportedly looking to leave Stamford Bridge, despite only joining the club during the last transfer window.

The 28-year-old winger arrived from Barcelona on a four-year contract for a fee of £19million, which could yet potentially rise to £21.4million.

According to the Daily Star, however, he is keen to return to La Liga after failing to acclimatise to life in England and could be in line for a move to Valencia.

Pedro has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular. Despite scoring on an impressive debut at West Bromwich Albion, he has only notched twice since.

The Spaniard, who was also pursued at length by Manchester United last summer, has made 18 appearances for his new club in total, with three of those coming from the bench.

He was substituted in the recent 3-3 home draw with Everton, the ninth time he has been taken off this season.

Valencia, currently managed by Gary Neville, would face competition from Villarreal for the winger’s signature but, according to the report, Chelsea are open to negotiating a deal at the end of the season.

Pedro came up through the youth ranks at Barcelona and, after being promoted to the senior team by then-head coach Pep Guardiola, won several La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League titles, as well as two Club World Cups.
