Chelsea are being heavily linked with a move to improve their attack after the agent of Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi announced that the Premier League side were looking to sign the Argentina international.

30-year-old Lavezzi is out of contract in the summer and is free to negotiate a move away from France, and his agent Alessandro Moggi has done his best to drum up interest in the former Napoli star by claiming Chelsea are already in talks over a move along with two other European heavyweights.

“Inter are the most interested team at the moment,” said Moggi. “There was interest from Barcelona and Chelsea, and we’re talking with the Blues.

“I can’t rule out him only leaving Paris at the end of the season though, as Paris Saint-Germain have expressed an interest in keeping him.”

Lavezzi has struggled this season having scored just twice in 16 Ligue 1 appearances, although he has only started three matches this season. Both goals came towards the end of easy victories for PSG, and despite playing a pivotal role in PSG’s title-winning season in 2014/15, he looks to be on his way out of the Parisian club.

PSG do want to keep him with a new contract on the table, although it is believed to be on reduced terms, and the lack of regular action this season will not help convince Lavezzi to remain in the French capital if the interest in him proves true.

One player who could be heading out of Chelsea this month is winger Christian Atsu, with talks over a loan move to Spanish side Levante and Hamburg in Germany currently taking place.

Chelsea are also in the hunt to sign highly-rated Charlton striker Ademola Lookman, with the Addicks’ farcical season paving the way for the 18-year-old to leave this month. Charlton owner Roland Duchâtelet sacked interim manager Karel Fraeye on Wednesday after a 5-0 humbling at Huddersfield Town the day before, and the Independent revealed that both Chelsea and Manchester City are leading the race to sign Lookman before the end of the current transfer window.

The Blues are also being linked with an audacious move for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, with the Daily Star claiming that a £40m bid has been submitted to the Spanish side. Kroos has also been linked with a move to Liverpool and Manchester United, although the 26-year-old German started new manager Zinedine Zidane’s first match in charge since replacing Rafa Benitez as a manger as the Real legend’s era began with a 5-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna.
