Eden Hazard is "very happy" and will stay at Chelsea next season, according to interim manager Guus Hiddink.

The Belgian winger has endured a terrible season after being named the Premier League Player of the Year in 2014-15, scoring his first two league goals of the season in the win against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Hazard, 25, was named by Chelsea fans as one of the 'Three Rats' responsible for Jose Mourinho being sacked from the club in December, while his poor performances and downbeat comments have seen him a bigger fracture open between him and the support.

Continued speculation linking Hazard with a move to either Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain has not gone away all season.

However, Hiddink believes that Hazard, who has a contract until 2020, will continue at Chelsea next season.

"It’s important that he’s here next year," he said. "He has some more years to go on his contract.

"What I do know is that he is very happy with everything at Chelsea, and everything around Chelsea. He is very important and if he is fit he will be very important again next season."
