Edinson Cavani has said he will remain at Paris St Germain, despite strong speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The Uruguay international had apparently been ear-marked as a suitable replacement for Radamel Falcao, who has failed to make an impact at Old Trafford during his loan spell from Monaco.

Cavani has long been linked with a switch away from PSG, but the powerful 28-year-old denies he will be leaving the French capital this summer.

"There is too much talk about my future but I will remain here," he said after his side's 3-1 Champions League defeat to Barcelona.

"I will respect my contract and I'm only focusing on doing well for PSG."

Cavani, who has also been linked to Juventus, has three years to run on his existing deal at the Parc de Princes.
