Monaco’s Radamel Falcao agrees a season-long loan with Manchester United.

Manchester United pulled off the deal of deadline day by bringing in Radamel Falcao from Monaco.

The initial deal sees the Colombia international arrive on loan, whilst The Independent understands there is an agreement to buy the striker on a permanent deal for £43.4m at the end of the season.

Upon his arrival, Falcao labelled Manchester United as "one of the truly great team".
