Harry Kane is reportedly the subject of a "huge offer" from Manchester United.

The Tottenham striker has been persistently linked with a move to Old Trafford following the breakthrough season at White Hart Lane that saw his score a stunning 31 goals in all competitions last term.

Manchester United meanwhile are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements and have a habit of signing players from Spurs, notably Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Carrick and Teddy Sheringham.

Kane was absent from Tottenham's pre-season friendly with AC Milan yesterday, which the commentator for the match suggested was down to a "huge offer" from Old Trafford.

It follows reports in Spain that an official bid has been made for the England international.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino may have simply rested the 22-year-old for the 2-0 victory considering he played 86 minutes against Real Madrid on Tuesday and Spurs' first match of the Premier League season, ironically against Manchester United, is on Saturday.

Kane has always said he has no desire to leave Tottenham.
