Everton are ready to block John Stones from leaving again this summer.
The England international was the subject of numerous bids from Chelsea this time last year but Everton stood firm even when offered £37m for the 22-year-old.
Despite a questionable season Stones continues to be linked with the Premier League's heavyweight sides, with Chelsea, Man City and Manchester United all understood to be keen on signing the former Barnsley player.
However reports suggest Everton are insisting they will not allow Stones to depart, despite the centre-back being keen to leave.
The club are on the verge of announcing Ronald Koeman as their new manager and the Dutchman is desperate to hold on to one of Everton's star assets.
Once the Southampton manager has been announced the club will reportedly then begin work on convincing Stones to sign a fresh contract. Team-mate Ross Barkley will also be offered new terms, although the club accept that Romelu Lukaku will depart.
