Sergio Aguero's father has revealed that the forward would 'love' to move to Barcelona, as the Spanish media reports that the Catalan club have made a bid for him.

The father of the Argentine striker made the revelation in Spanish sports daily AS, amid reports that Barcelona have made a £31m bid for the player.

Leonel del Castillo, the player's father said: "He would love to go to Barcelona but Manchester City will make it impossible."

New Barcelona coach Luis Enrique is thought to be a big admirer of Aguero and very keen to add the forward to his already stellar squad.

Aguero is known to have a very good relationship with Lionel Messi and the Catalan club could perhaps be hoping that this might be a factor in luring the forward to Nou Camp.

However despite the speculation, it is understood that Aguero is still happy at Manchester City and will not look to force a move through.

Considering his importance to Manchester City's title-winning side, it also seems very unlikely that Manuel Pellegrini would be willing to sell his star striker, particularly as Barcelona's reported bid is substantially less than what City paid to sign Aguero from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
