Brazilian midfielder Lucas Moura has told Brazilian media he has held talks with Paris St Germain over a possible transfer to the French club.

The 19-year-old has been repeatedly linked with a move to Europe during the summer, with Manchester United among the clubs interested in the Sao Paulo player.

Lucas is currently in action with Brazil's Olympic squad and insists his immediate focus is on the Games after the Selecao reached the final with victory over South Korea yesterday.

However, he has suggested he is interested in a move to Ligue 1, although he first wants to see out the year in his homeland.

"I cannot talk about it, I'm focused on the Brazil team," he said in an interview with Brazilian media organisation Globo.

"I can speak about it after the Olympics. But talks are under way, although they are not done yet.

"I spoke to (PSG defender) Thiago Silva and (sporting director) Leonardo and they spoke very well. I know they are building a wonderful project at this club, with a fantastic structure and major players. That is what they said.

"No doubt it would be better if I can help Sao Paulo a little bit more, though. I said before I want to win a title before leaving and qualify for the Copa Libertadores.

"I can do this with Sao Paulo if the transfer happens in January."

Lucas would be Carlo Ancelotti's latest signing this summer after already spending €100m on Ezequiel Lavezzi, Thiago Silva, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco Verratti.

PSG have spent over €200m since last summer after they were taken over by the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). The new owners immediately signalled their intentions to make the Parisian outfit a European giant by breaking the French transfer record with the €42m acquisition of Javier Pastore from Palermo.
