Talks opened...

Reports in France this morning claim that Manchester United have opened talks with PSG's Brazilian defender Marquinhos.

The 20-year-old, who has won four caps for his national team, joined PSG from Roma for £23m last summer, and it has been reported that an offer of £30m could prize him away from the Ligue 1 champions.

Not for sale...

The club, however, have been dealt a blow in their quest to sign Palermo striker Paolo Dybala. The Italian club's president, Maurizio Zamparini told Radio Due that he is not for sale in this transfer window.

"Dybala is worth over €40m [£31m] but I won’t sell him until June," Zamparini said. "Many foreign clubs asked after him, including Manchester United. I told the English side that he is not for sale right now, but we can talk about it again in six months. In my view, he is the best striker in Europe at the moment."

Baggy jumper....

United's veteran midfielder Darren Flecther is wanted by West Brom, according to the Express & Star.

Fletcher has been battling the debilitating ulcerative colitis since 2011, but made 19 appearances for United and Scotland last season, and has played 16 times for club and country this term.
