The midfielder played an integral role in his club winning the Portuguese title and reaching the Europa League final last season but could be set for a switch away from the Estadio da Luz.
Speaking to Argentine TV station TyC Sports he said: "There are negotiations between other clubs and Benfica about me.
"I know that Valencia and Manchester United are interested. There are serious possibilities to leave after the World Cup."

Show all 10The 28-year-old made 40 appearances last term and scored four goals with his performances enough to earn him a place in Argentina's 23-man squad for this summer's tournament in Brazil.
Manchester United are expected to make a number of signings this summer as new manager Louis van Gaal, who could get a closer look at Perez at the World Cup during his remaining time as Netherlands manager, looks to return the club to Premier League title challengers.
