Real Madrid ace Gareth Bale is reportedly ready to leave Spain after months of abuse from supporters of the La Liga giants.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the 25-year-old has grown tired of being the scapegoat for Madrid's inconsistent form and would entertain the idea of joining Manchester United.

The Wales international is said to be open to either possibility, with the chance to stay and prove his doubters wrong still an attractive option, but Louis van Gaal is on red alart.

These are testing times for Bale, who moved to Madrid in 2013 for world record £85.3million, after being booed throughout the Champions League clash against Schalke last week.

The report also states the former Tottenham star would like his two-year-old daughter to be educated back home and plans to settle down in England.

With Madrid now eyeing Old Trafford keeper David De Gea as their top target for next season, there may be a deal to be struck between the two parties.
