Summer transfer window 2018: Latest Premier League deals and rumours round-up

Manchester United would rather sell Anthony Martial to Juventus or Real Madrid if it comes to it, potentially scuppering the hopes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, after the player’s agent this week finally declared that the 22-year-old wants to leave.

While the club would still rather keep a forward they see as a potential star, manager Jose Mourinho has no such issues with a sale.

The Old Trafford hierarchy are fully backing any Mourinho transfer decision this summer so, if it does come to a move, are much happier to act on the strong interest of Juventus and growing interest of Madrid.

Mauricio Pochettino is a huge admirer of Martial, but United do not want to sell to England, bar one exception.

Mourinho would still do a deal with Chelsea, if Willian comes the other way, something that has already been broached between the clubs.

The imminent departure of Antonio Conte could change Willian’s situation, though, with the Brazilian having made his issues with the manager well known.
