Manchester United have made an opening bid of £20m for Morgan Schneiderlin according to reports as they step up their pursuit of the France international.
Southampton have rejected the offer and now United are weighing up their next move. It's understood that Saints value the 25-year-old closer to £25m.
It's claimed that United lodged the bid last week.
Manchester United could face competition from Arsenal and Tottenahm for the player who was among the stand-out performers as Ronald Koeman's side finished an unlikely seventh in the Premier League last season.
