Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is on the lookout for a new club with his contract set to expire at the end of June, with interest believed to be coming from Germany.
Bundesliga clubs Stuttgart and Entracht Frankfurt are both looking into the possibility of signing the Denmark captain on a free transfer according to Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet.
Despite his time with Arsenal being widely considered a failure – Bendtner scored 47 goals in 171 games for the Gunners – it appears the striker will have options in the German top flight open to him, although contract negotiations could be a stumbling block.
The report goes on to claim that 26-year-old Bendtner is seeking a salary and signing-on fee of around €40m-a-year, and neither club is currently willing to meet the Danes demands.
