Arsenal are being linked with a move for Celta Vigo striker Nolito and could launch a January transfer bid in an effort to beat Barcelona to his signature, reports the Daily Mirror. The Gunners have kept an eye on the 29-year-old and believe he can help offer strength in depth to their attack, with Olivier Giroud currently fighting a one-man attack due to Theo Walcott’s hamstring injury.

Barcelona are believed to be interested in signing Nolito to provide cover for Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, but they cannot afford the £15m asking price in January and any move from the Catalans will have to wait until the summer.

Another target of Arsenal’s, Adrien Rabiot, is said to have angered Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc after asking to leave the club on loan in what could be an attempt to force a move to the Premier League.

Liverpool could attempt to sign former Manchester United striker Guiseppe Rossi in an £18m move from Fiorentina, according to Italian publication ItaSportPress. The 28-year-old left United in back in 2007 following loan spells with Newcastle and Parma, and after a six-year stint with Villarreal he moved back to Italy to join Fiorentina.

Unwanted Juventus striker Simone Zaza is being linked with a surprise move to Premier League side Watford, with the Daily Mirror claiming that the Hornets have jumped ahead of Norwich in the race to sign the 24-year-old on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Former Newcastle midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa could already be on his way out of Ligue 1 side Nice, with the Newcastle Chronicle reporting that Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund are looking to sign him in the January transfer window. Any move would see Ben Arfa would see him leave Nice after just six months after re-signing with them following a mix-up over his registration that left him ineligible to play for the first half of 2015.

Finally, Everton and Sunderland could be set to battle it out in a bid to sign Leeds United right-back Sam Bryam, and they could be forced to pay up to £8m for the 22-year-old, according to the Daily Mirror. Byram has already refused to sign a new contract and a move to the Premier League looks to be on the cards.
