Jose Mourinho has said he "expects" Petr Cech to be a Chelsea player next season, despite increasing attention from Arsenal and Liverpool.

Chelsea's two Premier League rivals are both believed to be suitors of the goalkeeper, who has had to sit on the bench for the majority of this season behind Thibaut Courtois.

Cech, 32, is reported to be unhappy at being the No 2 and has been linked with a move away from the club, with his agent Viktor Kolar stating that the goalkeeper has been "permitted" to speak to other clubs.

However, Jose Mourinho disagreed with those claims and again stated that he wants to keep the goalkeeper.

"I don't know that it's absolutely true what the agent is saying, " he said. "Maybe it is, but the player has a contract with Chelsea and Chelsea will have a very important say in the decision.

"I keep saying the same: I want my best players. Petr is one of my best players. I expect [Cech to be at Chelsea next season] because I'm positive, I'm optimistic and I would like him to stay."
