Manchester United's hopes of signing German international Toni Kroos have been given a boost after he admitted that his future was not yet decided.

The Bayern Munich man was thought to be on his way to Real Madrid, with reports last week claiming a deal had already been struck.

However the midfielder has said that no move has been finalised and he will be waiting until after the World Cup to announce where his future lies.

Speaking to German newspaper Tz, Kroos maintained that everything would become clear after the end of the competition in Brazil, although it does seem his future lies away from Bayern.

"I've read all the reports - it's hard not to - but I've already said that nothing is decided yet," Kroos said.

"The latest reports simply weren't accurate. I just want to play the World Cup to its conclusion first and then, when that's over, there will be a decision.

"That decision will then be announced by me - not by a newspaper.

"While nothing is yet certain, there is nothing to talk about. There's another week to go of the World Cup and then we'll know more. I could also stay at Bayern."

Germany play host nation Brazil in the first World Cup semi-final in Belo Horizonte this Tuesday.
