Samuel Eto'o is expected to move to the MLS at the end of the season, rather than extend his stay at Chelsea, according to reports today.

It will mean the Cameroon striker spends just a solitary season in the Premier League following his arrival at Stamford Bridge from Anzhi Makhachkala during the summer.

Arriving for a cut-price fee of just £5m as the Russian club looked to restructure the financial side of the club, the 32-year-old has failed to live up to his billing as one of the most feared strikers in the world after signing a one-year contract with the west London club.

His career has taken in Barcelona and Inter Milan and wielded three Champions League titles, yet this season he has scored just two Premier League goals.

It is expected that a host of MLS sides will queue up for his signature, with Los Angeles Galaxy, DC United, Club Deportivo Chivas USA, Seattle Sounders and Chicago Fire already linked.
