Joe Hart is expected to finalise his proposed loan move to Torino by the time the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.

The Manchester City goalkeeper was given permission to leave England's training base, where they are preparing for Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Slovakia, to resolve his club future.

Hart, 29, was photographed in Turin on Tuesday and is expected to seal a season-long deal with the Serie A side, having been relegated to third-choice stopper under Pep Guardiola following the arrival of Claudio Bravo.

Samir Nasri could also be on his way out of the Etihad Stadium, with Sevilla reportedly set to take the France midfielder on a season-long loan.

In another eye-catching potential loan deal, Tottenham have reportedly made enquiries about Real Madrid midfielder Isco.

Meanwhile, the total spent so far by Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window reportedly reached £1billion on Tuesday. The previous record stood at £870million.

Confirmation of Shkodran Mustafi's switch to Arsenal from Valencia was Tuesday's highest-profile transfer - for a reported £35million - and concluded Arsene Wenger's near summer-long pursuit.

They had earlier completed the signing of striker Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna for a fee said to be around the £17million mark.

"Coming here I've made a step forward, because Arsenal is a big club with big players and a great manager," Germany international Mustafi told the club's website.

"The most important thing was if I made a change, could I learn something? Was it going to be good for my development? Being here now is going to help me grow as a player."

Mustafi's arrival was preceded by the promising Calum Chambers joining Middlesbrough in a season-long loan deal, and Werder Bremen saying they are close to signing Serge Gnabry.

"(I'm) excited about the season ahead and can't wait to get working," Chambers said.

While Arsenal's supporters had been waiting for the arrivals of new players, Hull secured three in one afternoon.

Caretaker manager Mike Phelan began the season with only 14 fit senior players, but on Tuesday signed Ryan Mason, David Marshall and Will Keane, the former for a club record.

The fees paid for each remain undisclosed, but Hull confirmed the figure to sign Mason from Tottenham exceeded the £10million spent on Abel Hernandez in 2014.

"I can't wait to get started and I see this as a massive opportunity for me," the 25-year-old midfielder told the club's website. "I'm delighted and excited to be here."

Keane joins from Manchester United, where he worked with Phelan, while former Cardiff goalkeeper Marshall said: "Having spoken to the people up here, I didn't need any convincing."

There were also high-profile loan deals elsewhere in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace signed Loic Remy from Chelsea until the end of the season, reuniting the striker with his former Newcastle boss Alan Pardew.

Pardew had long spoken of his desire to add a further striker to the £27million arrival earlier this month of Christian Benteke, and he told the club's website: "Loic has been a target of mine throughout this transfer window and I'm delighted the deal has been done.

"'I brought him to Newcastle so I know what he is capable of and I am convinced he will be a quality addition to our squad."

Patrick Bamford has joined Burnley until the end of the campaign from Chelsea.

Watford have loaned Kenedy from Chelsea until the end of the season, and have also re-signed Adrian Mariappa on a three-year contract. Mariappa left the club four years ago to join Reading, before moving on to Palace who he left earlier this summer.

There was also a loan exit from Sunderland, as Jeremain Lens joined Fenerbahce for the season.
