Transfer news live: Liverpool step up interest in Kylian Mbappé and Dusan Tadic plus latest gossip and done deals
All the latest news, rumours and gossip from around the Premier League and the rest of Europe
The transfer window hasn't even swung open for business yet but that hasn't stopped teams up and down the country getting their business done early.
Manchester City are the biggest spenders so far, having already blown £43m on the Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva, as well as a world-record amount on a goalkeeper: £35m for Benfica's Ederson. They've also dumped a number of older players on free transfers, including Willy Caballero, Gael Clichy, Jesus Navas, Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta.
Liverpool are closing in on a deal for Mohamed Salah as they continue to negotiate with Roma over a fee but it looks unlikely they will be adding Virgil van Dijk after being forced to apologise to Southampton for an illegal approach.
Manchester United have money to spend too but may be forced to shell out as much as £70m for one of Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti as they chase a new No.9. Meanwhile Chelsea's main man, Diego Costa, looks to be on his way after being told he is surplus to requirements by manager Antonio Conte.
We will have all the latest throughout the day here so don't touch that dial.

Liverpool step up interest in Mbappé
Liverpool have been one of the clubs linked with Monaco forward Kylian Mbappé ever since May, when Spanish newspaper Marca speculated that the side had seen a £64m bid for the star striker rejected by the Ligue 1 side.
The rumours died down shortly after that, but French newspaper L'Equipe this morning report that Liverpool are preparing another huge bid to underline the club’s ‘aggressive’ recruitment strategy.
The paper doesn't mention any figures but with Arsenal rumoured to have made a bid of over £100m for the 18-year-old, Liverpool would almost certainly have to smash their transfer budget.
West Ham to beat Arsenal?
The Daily Mail this morning claim that 20-year-old Eupen forward Henry Onyekuru is set to snub Arsenal in favour of a move to West Ham.
A number of clubs have been linked with Onyekuru after the youngster lit up the Belgian First Division this season, with 22 goals in 38 appearances.
Arsenal are reportedly keen, but it is thought that the Nigerian has decided that a move to West Ham - where he will play regularly - will be better for his career.

Spurs eye Walker replacement
With Kyle Walker on the verge of joining Manchester City, it has been claimed in both the British and French press that Spurs could sign PSG full-back Serge Aurier as a replacement.
PSG will likely charge top dollar for Aurier, who joined the club from Toulouse in 2014 and has gone on to play for the Ivory Coast 39 times.
However, with Spurs on the verge of making around £60m from the Walker sale, they will likely have funds to spend.
Liverpool keeping tabs on Tadic
Liverpool have lined up Southampton’s Dusan Tadic as an alternative if their attempt to sign Mohamed Salah collapses, according to the Times.
The Serbian, who has been one of Southampton’s best players since signing for the club in 2014, has a £13m buyout clause in his contract.
The clause means that Liverpool would be able to enter into talks with the player despite their apology to Southampton over the illegal tapping up of Virgil van Dijk.
United interested in Jordi Alba
Barcelona have been repeatedly linked with Ander Herrera this transfer window – but now Jose Mourinho wants to turn the tables on Barca with a move for Jordi Alba.
That’s at least according to Spanish newspaper Don Balon, which this weekend reports that Mourinho is determined to sign Alba to replace Luke Shaw at left-back.
The paper reports that Mourinho has told the United hierarchy that he will only countenance selling Herrera if he gets Alba in part-exchange. Which doesn’t seem all that likely.

Mahrez signals intention to leave
Riyad Mahrez has all but confirmed he will be leaving Leicester City this summer in a television interview this weekend.
“There's a big difference between an offer and speculation, so there is nothing on the table at the moment,” Mahrez told Elheddaf Television.
“The chairman and I agreed that I would stay another year at the club and that he would let me leave at the end of the season.
“I think it would be the right time for me to leave, I have experienced everything at this football club.
“So for me, it would be the right time to leave. The club and I are on the same page regarding my future so we'll see.”
Verratti to leave
Paris Saint-Germain's Marco Verratti, one of the world's most coveted playmakers, has told the Ligue 1 giants that he wants to leave the club, according to reports in France.
Sunday's edition of L'Equipe leads on the Italian midfielder's decision to end his stay in Paris after five years in the French capital.
Verratti reportedly met with PSG's new sporting director, Antero Henrique, this week to communicate the decision to him.
