Transfer news: Real Madrid insist no offer for Cristiano Ronaldo has been received - despite Manchester United speculation

Real Madrid have once again insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo will not be leaving the Bernabeu this summer.

The Portuguese forward has been strongly linked with a return to Manchester United with speculation that a huge offer could soon be received from Old Trafford. There has also been talk that mega-rich PSG could make a move.

However, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has said that no offers have been received for the 28-year-old - and even if they had, the Spanish club would not be interested in negotiating.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is the cornerstone of our project," Perez told French newspaper L'Equipe.

"He's the world's greatest player and I can now say that he will end his career at Real Madrid.

"We haven't received any offer for Cristiano Ronaldo."

Ronaldo has two years to run on his current contract, which has only fuelled the speculation. In a similar situation to that of Wayne Rooney, the longer Ronaldo remains at the club without signing a new deal, the weaker the club's position over his future becomes.

Despite that, former Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has said there is no chance Ronaldo will be allowed to leave this summer.

Perez also poured cold water on speculation linking new manager Carlo Ancelotti with a raid on former club PSG, who the Italian left earlier this summer after guiding them to the Ligue 1 title.

The likes of Marco Verratti and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were reported to be at the top of Ancelotti's wish-list, but Perez said: "Real Madrid will not touch any PSG player like Verratti or Ibrahimovic.

"Ancelotti didn't ask for any of their players, so maybe my words can calm PSG fans a bit."
