West Ham are lining up a loan bid for English starlet Wilfried Zaha, according to reports.

It is thought Sam Allardyce is hoping the lure of regular first-team football in the Premier League to capture the talented youngster.

The winger signed for Manchester United in January, before being loaned back to Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season.

The 20-year-old is yet to make a single appearance for the Red Devils.

Zaha featured in 50 matches in all competitions for Palace but it is doubtful that the Hammers' target will feature regularly for the Old Trafford club.

West Ham boss Allardyce was clearly impressed with Zaha in his England U21 endeavours, despite the team's embarrassing performance.
