Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for Arturo Vidal with just hours of the transfer window remaining.

The Juventus midfielder has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford all summer and a deal could still be done.

The Independent understands that despite the moves for Radamel Falcao and Daley Blind that are being completed today, United remain keen on the Chile international and that a deal is not beyond the bounds of possibility.

Manchester United have concerns over the fitness of the midfielder which has prohibited a block-buster bid being lodged with Juventus.

Yet the moves for Falcao and Blind - who would join other summer signings Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo in arriving this summer - will not address concerns about a lightweight midfield at Manchester United.

The box-to-box ability of Vidal is still a major draw for Louis van Gaal.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport suggested today that a deal worth in the region of £39.5m is being worked on.
