Vladimir Weiss set for Manchester City exit

Manchester City have revealed that Vladimir Weiss has been the subject of numerous offers from clubs all over Europe including England, Italy and Spain.

The winger still has one year left on his contract at the Etihad, but after only one league appearance for the club it is likely the Slovakian will look for a move away before the new season starts.

Weiss has never really been given a look-in at City, and has spent the best part of three seasons on loan spells with Rangers, Bolton and Espanyol.

The 22-year old managed to make his way into the Slovakian World Cup squad, after his father was appointed as manager, having limited success there.

The wide-man’s season at Rangers was perhaps his most successful, he came off the bench in the league cup final to assist the winning goal, and was a useful squad player in their title winning season.

The young man is set to start pre-season at the Etihad, but doesn’t seem to think he will be there for the long haul.

"We are starting on Thursday and with City I have one year left on my contract. After the start of the pre-season preparation I want to wait for a week or two to see how the situation develops," he told Sport Aktuality.

"At the moment I can already tell you that I have four specific offers. One from England, one from Italy and two from Spain.

"However, it is likely to be problematic with finances as it is not easy to leave City.

"I have also been in touch with German clubs and there is a rumoured interest from Russia and Turkey. But I'm not looking in that direction though because as long as I have offers from the top leagues - Spanish, English, Italian and German - I will be interested in those."
