Chelsea will block any attempts by Jose Mourinho to raid his former club when he takes over at Manchester United.

Mourinho finally agreed the finer details of his contract at Old Trafford yesterday evening and should be announced as the cub's new manager today.

Attention will then turn to reviving the club's fortunes following a dismal spell under David Moyes and then Louis van Gaal. A part of that will see Mourinho backed heavily in the transfer market.

A number of targets have been identified and among them is Chelsea midfielder Willian - the west London club's player of the season.

However any attempts to sign the 27-year-old will be vigorously blocked according to the Evening Standard, with Chelsea determined to keep their prize asset.

It's been reported that Manchester United could offer as much as £60m for the Brazil international, who has two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
