Edinburgh Rocks qualified for the BBL Championship Play-offs last night by beating Sheffield Sharks 93-92, a result which handed the northern Conference title to Chester Jets.

A free throw from Ryan Huntley, 0.8 seconds from time, secured fourth place for the Rocks, ending the hopes of last season's champions, Leicester Riders. Rocks qualify with Chester, Sheffield and Newcastle Eagles.

Coach Robbie Peers said: "I am extremely proud of the way we have played all season. Now we can relax a bit before gearing up for the play-offs."

Milton Keynes Lions lost the chance of guaranteeing fourth place in the South after losing 82-77 to Brighton Bears.
