Manny Pacquiao has prepared for his upcoming super-fight with Floyd Mayweather by helping his basketball team Kia Carnival to a shock win.

Pacquiao, 36, is a huge basketball fan and player-coach of the team - he took part in the side's 106-103 win over rival team Talk 'N Text, who were top of the PBA heading into the game

The diminutive welterweight stands at just 5ft 6½ins and although he failed to score a point among the giants, he helped Kia Carnival improve to three wins and four defeats.

The boxer, who plays as a point guard, is still waiting for the first made shot of his career after missing two three-point attempts in seven minutes on the court.

The victory was the fourth game Pacquiao had played in his basketball career; last week he scored his first point when scoring from the free-throw line against Purefoods.

Pacquaio is also set to feature in his team's next match against Blackwater Elite on Saturday, before flying to Los Angeles to being preparations for his $300million fight.
