Hills brothers restrict Fallon to two successes

The Hills twins, Michael and Richard, picked up three of the contests at Salisbury yesterday, confining Kieren Fallon to a double as he attempts to put some daylight between Kevin Darley and himself in the pursuit of the jockeys' championship.

Richard Hills took both divisions of the three-year-old maiden stakes on Elsundus and Bintalbawadi, the latter having only a short-head to spare over the Fallon-ridden Spectina in a driving finish.

Fallon's wins came aboard Noon Gun, who is earmarked for the Cambridgeshire by Willie Muir, his trainer, despite a 5lb penalty for this success, and Amanda Perrett's Bethesda.

Michael Hills predicted a bright future for Brown Eyes after the filly fended off Fallon on Golan's half-sister Mount Street, to take the two-year-old maiden for the jockey's father Barry. "My father told me that our filly had come on for her debut," he said. "She's been working with our better fillies and I think she's got a future."
